Jan Fridén, M.D., Ph.D is a professor of Hand Surgery and Chair of the Tetraplegia Hand Surgery Service at the Swiss Paraplegic Centre, Nottwil, Switzerland. He has performed seminal work in the development of tetraplegia hand surgery, e.g forearm motor point mapping, refinements of tendon-to-tendon attachment techniques and new strategies to reconstruct motor function in tetraplegia by combining nerve and tendon transfer based on quantitative analysis of donor and recipient muscle excitability.
